Warren Bernauer is a research associate in the department of environment and geography at the University of Manitoba. His research focuses on resource conflicts in Nunavut, with an emphasis on mining, oil and gas extraction, and commercial fisheries. With Inuk Elder Joan Scottie and social scientist Jack Hick, Bernauer is a co-author of I Will Live for Both of Us: A History of Colonialism, Uranium Mining, and Inuit Resistance.
