Hussein Banai is assistant professor of diplomacy and world affairs at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. Born in Tehran and raised there and in Toronto, he is a co-author of Becoming Enemies: US-Iran Relations and the Iran-Iraq War, 1979-1988.
