I’m pleased to announce the publication of a new edited book on The Crown and Parliament.
The book was inspired by a May 2014 conference on the subject held by the Canadian Study of Parliament Group.
The volume was edited by me and Michel BĂ©dard, the President of the Canadian Study of Parliament Group.
The book features a foreword by the Governor General, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston.
It can be purchased here.
The Crown and Parliament covers a number of subjects, including parliamentary procedures that involve the Crown, the relationship between Parliament and prerogative power, vice-regal appointments, the Crown and constitutional amendment in Canada, as well as four chapters on Canada’s Succession to the Throne Act, 2013.
