Lance Haymond is Anishinabe from Kebaowek, a community in the Temiscamingue region of Quebec, where he is in his 10th term as chief. He leads the housing and infrastructure file at the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec-Labrador and is co-chair of the National Chief Committee on Housing and Infrastructure at the Assembly of First Nations. He has served as manager of Aboriginal on-reserve housing programs for the CMHC, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. He was recently appointed to lead the Yänonhchia’ initiative.
