Mukesh Kapila was the United Nations resident and humanitarian coordinator and the UN Development Programme resident representative for Sudan in 2003-04. He is currently professor of global health and humanitarian affairs at the University of Manchester, and special representative on crimes against humanity for the Aegis Trust for genocide prevention.
