How Canadians access government information is largely dictated by two acts: <em>The Access to Information Act<\/em> and its successor, the <em>Federal Accountability Act<\/em> (<em>FAA<\/em>). However, some argue that these acts don\u2019t go far enough in granting Canadians access to government information.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Policy Options special feature <em><a href=\"https:\/\/policyoptions.irpp.org\/fr\/magazines\/avril-2016\/la-loi-federale-sur-la-responsabilite-10-ans-plus-tard\/\">The Federal Accountability Act: Ten Years Later<\/a><\/em>, Canada\u2019s information commissioner, Suzanne Legault, wrote an article (to be released in English and French on April 21st on <em>Policy Options<\/em>) sharing her take on the legacy of the <em>FAA<\/em>.
