Angela Carter
Angela Carter is an associate professor in political science at the University of Waterloo, where she has researched environmental policies and politics in Canada’s major oil-producing provinces, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador. Her book Fossilized: Environmental Policy in Canada’s Petro-Provinces traces how these provinces undermined environmental policies while boosting oil extraction. Carter is extending this research in an international comparative project that examines the rise of national bans on fossil fuel extraction.
