Douglas Porter
Douglas Porter is deputy chief economist with BMO Capital Markets in Toronto. He has analyzed trends in the Canadian and global economies for over 25 years. He has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario and holds a chartered financial analyst designation. He is on the board of directors of the Toronto Association of Business Economists, is a member of the C.D. Howe Institute’s Monetary Policy Council and also serves on the investment management committee for the Bank of Montreal’s pension fund.
